Choosing the Best All-Purpose Kitchen Knife

I am looking for a reliable; all-purpose kitchen knife that can handle a variety of tasks from chopping vegetables to slicing meat.

I value durability; ease of sharpening, and comfort during extended use. What brands / specific knives would you recommend?

Are there any key features I should prioritize when choosing?

Welcome to the forum.

Yet your request is not quite clear: are you looking for a series mass-production knife or you want a custom-made Russian knife? Do you want to buy a knife in Russia and have a possibility to pay for it (bank transfers to Russia are a bit difficult currently)? Or perhaps you just want recommendations and pieces of advice on the subject? Then it is not a very correct audience to address as the communication language of the forum is primarily Russian.

I'm agree this conference is specified for russian personas or speaking russian ones so there are quite difficult to find here some cuisine experts having fluent english (i'm happy to be fault in that )
Anyway you have just pointed an idea from some fairytale - one thing for everything. The same idea is the elixir as the medicine for everything. This was being found by all humanity during all it's history
Just simple example: you can't peel vegetables by huge 30" chef knife (othervise you are giant ). So the most historically happehed idea is the 2 knifes minimum available in the kitchen room: one for vegetables and one for the rest. This second one is just for your personal taste: someone prefers bigger knife and someone prefers smaller one. Many other things are still significant for choise: hand size, kitchen table size, food prefer etc. Not by chance there are too much knife types in the world. You should try to work for any of it for choise. Many our colleagues have huge collections and continue to enlarge it
