Интересен он тем что произведен в числе других своих собратьев в концлагере Маутхаузен руками узников, на оборудовании фирмы Штайр Даймлер Пух, под контролем и на нужды Ваффен СС, в соответствии с распоряжением рейхсфюрера Гиммлера о производстве оружия в системе концлагерей Рейха.
В качестве отличительного клеймения принадлежности к контракту СС - на ресивере отчеканено клеймо -руна Sieg.
Данный предмет гарантированный оригинал, его номер присутствует в мировой коллекционерской базе номеров известных оригинальных ССовских 98к с руной концлагерной серии.

По деактиву -Шепетовка в классическом варианте: ствол прорезан на всю длину фрезой(патронник только не зацепили), штифт в патроннике, затвору сточено зеркало, срезан зацеп выбрасывателя, подрезан подаватель, укорочен ударник.
